Statement On Promotion Of A Peaceful Africa

We, the participants from different parts of Africa of the consultation on the Promotion of a Peaceful Africa (Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want) of the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) in partnership with the African Union (AU), held at Desmond Tutu Conference Centre in Nairobi, Kenya from 29 - 30 November, 2016;

The Director of Theology, Family Life and Gender Justice, the Rev. Dr. Lydia Mwaniki attended a training on Women’s Human Rights Advocacy for Faith-Based Organizations in Geneva, Switzerland, from 4 to 9 July, 2016. The training was organized by the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) in collaboration with the World Council of Churches (WCC). It gathered 46 participants from 28 countries

The World Environment Day, instituted by the United Nations Organization, is celebrated on 5 June of every year in a selected city around the world. This year, Luanda, Angola, was chosen to host the international celebration under the theme: “Zero Tolerance for the Illegal Trade of Wildlife”.
