Second General Assembly: Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire

Introduction
400 participants – half of whom were official Assembly
delegates – from 100 churches attended the second General
Assembly of the AACC. This Assembly was held in Abidjan, Côte
d’Ivoire, which emphasized the AACC’s goal of unity across
language barriers. The Assembly proceedings were marred by the
assassination of Abidjan invitee, Tom Mboya, and a moment of
silence was held for his passing. After 6 years the delegates
were indeed ready to hear about the AACC’s progress and what
more could be done by the growing organisation.
