Conclusion
Harare marked the first General Assembly in over a
decade that was free of financial and administrative discord.
The enthusiasm about the AACC’s new direction and recent
solvency did not prevent the Assembly from casting a critical
– yet constructive – look at the implementation of AACC human
rights programming. With strong leadership and finances, the
AACC went forth to tackle the extremely urgent issues on the
continent in the early 1990s.
