The Seventh General Assembly:
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Theme: Troubled, But Not Destroyed
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 1-10 October, 1997
Finance and
Personnel Committee Report
While the AACC’s
contributions from overseas have been declining – as they have
for other institutions as well – ecumenical partners have
stepped up their support. Also of financial concern is the
fact that only 15% of member churches pay their annual
contributions. This trend may require the AACC to review the
membership of these churches. Good news from the committee:
• Sound investments in AACC property • Strong
financial management • Library expansion • Expressed
desire to make the Training Centre a diploma-awarding
institution
Summary of Other Reports
In
other AACC news: • The General Committee was expanded by
nine members • 8 churches were admitted as members •
Decided that member churches must settle payments within two
years, and new members were only admitted after paying The

technology Land-mines were declared a priority, including
supporting the Ottawa Convention
