Launch of the bible study manuals

AACC Launches a Contextual Bible Study Manual On Sustainable Population Growth During The 2nd All Africa Youth Congress in Nairobi.

The All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) launched a Contextual Bible Study Manual on Sustainable Population Growth for Quality Life in Africa, during the forth-day of the 2nd All Africa Youth Congress that is Nairobi, Kenya. This marked a milestone in faith-based approaches to population and development.

Speaking at the launch, Ann Kioi, AACC’s Director for Gender, Women, Youth, and Sustainable Population, described the manual as “a home-grown resource designed to ignite critical dialogue within congregations.” She emphasized that the manual bridges African wisdom and scriptural truth, guiding communities to reflect on family planning, maternal health, resource management and environmental sustainability. “It shifts the conversation from numbers to quality of life,” she said, “ensuring that every person lives abundantly, in alignment with God’s promise of fullness of life.”

Kioi underscored that the manual aims to empower women and youth the engine of Africa’s future, to make informed and dignified choices that enhance community wellbeing. She called on clergy, youth leaders, government and ecumenical partners to “translate divine mandate into tangible action.”

The event’s guest of Honor, Mr. Fikirini Jacobs, Principal Secretary for Youth and the Creative Economy in Kenya, lauded the initiative, calling Africa’s young people “ambitious, energetic, and standing at the threshold of change.” He highlighted the historical role of youth, women and the Church in liberation movements, urging today’s generation to carry forward that legacy.
“Fidelity to preserve our continent must be our focus,” PS Jacobs said. “We must embrace comradeship beyond borders and make a deliberate stand for peace and dignity.”

The AACC reaffirmed its commitment to working with government and faith actors to promote holistic wellbeing and sustainable population growth rooted in faith, justice and African values.
